Therefore, you should not be expecting any major lighting improvements, or additional graphical effects. Do note that this pack only improves the quality of the original textures and nothing more. Now while the modder did not provide any before/after comparison screenshots, he did share some screenshots for this new HD Texture Pack. The modder also skipped textures from the “interface” folder. Additionally, this pack does not contain textures that were below < 64×64. In order to enhance the original textures, Kuzja80 used cuda, pytorch and his custom neural net model. The modder has implemented a full seamless texture segmentation technique to bypass any VRAM limitations. Moreover, this pack features seamless textures (after segmentation). Similarly to the Oblivion AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack, this pack for Fallout New Vegas corrects upscaled alpha channels and upscaled normal maps. Furthermore, it does not contain any custom or new textures, something that most Fallout New Vegas fans will appreciate. This pack will increase/upscale the quality of almost all of the game’s original textures by four times. The hell does that mean.Modder ‘Kuzja80’ has released a 16GB AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack for Fallout New Vegas. That is bizarre.Ģnd Edit: Toggling on disable desktop composition for FalloutNV.exe removes the hitching in borderless windowed. Bizarre.Īnyone else had this weird behaviour too?Įdit: Testing again, and for some reason, disabling the two borderless window settings removes the hitching. VideoMemorySizeMb=8192, VideoMemorySizeMb=2048, no matter the value, the profiler reports just above 3000MB available.Īnd even with all the settings off, ENB still causes the game to stutter when moving. In exclusive full screen (setting bFull Screen=1 in FalloutPrefs.ini), there is no stutter whatsoever.Īnother odd observation, is that ENB's available memory statistic is always around 3000MB, regardless of what I set the video memory settings to. But this only happens in windowed mode, and is unaffected by ENB's borderless window settings (ForceBorderless=false & ForceBorderlessFullscreen=false make no difference). Now, no matter the combination of settings I use, ENB still stutters every couple of seconds when moving. There is one change, though: I don't get the memory spikes when I have EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true and DisableDriverMemoryManager=true. Got around to reinstalling Windows 7, doing a completely fresh install with no bloatware, in the hopes that whatever was messing with ENB would be gone.
